- Are we commanded to worship the Easter Festival in the Bible?
This is a good start into understanding the truths and traditions around what the Christian world deems as one of the most holy days in the entire year. It is one of those days when even non-religious church members actually show their face into the church, wondering if the walls and ceiling will come crashing down and end their sinful lives. Children decked out in their Easter attire running around the church grounds searching with intent desire to fill their baskets with Easter eggs, candy and other treats. Seems so innocent. Seems so good, because we get even more people into the church to hear The Message.
But are we fulfilling prophecy by teaching our children lies, in the future will we cry out Surely we have inherited lies from our fathers? Let’s investigate this – only on the surface without much detail – so you can start to get the picture.
Is Easter the true celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Messiah from the dead or is it something more evil with its roots deeply embedded in paganism?
Even with a very basic knowledge of the scriptures and the ability to count beyond 3 we can see that something is not right about this whole thing. When you go to church on Good Friday, you will hear the priest or pastor tell you the story of the crucifixion of Jesus, hanging him on a cross and darkness falling across the land of Israel from noon until 3:00 pm, and then he dies. So this is our starting point, Friday at 3:00 pm.
The Priest or Pastor will continue the story about how the Jews went to Pontius Pilate saying “remember that deceiver said he would raise from the dead after three days. Please seal the tomb to make sure that his followers do not steal the body and claim that he has risen from the dead making the second lie worse than the first” OK,, so now we understand the next part: He has to be dead in the tomb for 3 days, 72 hours.
With our required skills of an ability to count beyond 3 we can start this exercise. 1-2-3, right? So, 1-Friday, 2- Saturday, 3-Sunday … hurray, we did it! Now let’s figure the time, from Friday 3:00 pm to Saturday 3:00 pm makes one day, Saturday 3pm to Sunday 3:00 pm… Houston, we have a problem!
Fast forward to Sunday morning, fighting traffic and some once-a-year church goer has taken your parking place. Venturing inside, not only was your parking place filled, but your seat is filled too. Oh, well, it only happens once a year and you just want to get the service over so you can get home to your Easter ham and hidden Easter eggs.
The Priest or Pastor tells the story of the resurrection from the beginning. Early on the first day of the week… OK, wait just a bloody second, what you do mean, Father So-and-So or Pastor Righteous-One, about this “EARLY ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK” stuff? You are not stupid and fully capable of counting all the way to 5 and now know that it would have to be at LEAST 3:00 pm before Jesus rose or Jesus was a liar. Hmm…
OK, so now you can answer the first question, Easter is NOT the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Messiah. For more information, click here. So it must have its roots into Paganism. Check this link out for more detailed information.
Is Easter Sunday the day of the resurrection of Jesus Messiah or is it a Pagan Festival, the first Sunday after the vernal equinox of the sun god worship?
We already have discovered that Jesus Messiah could not have risen on Easter Sunday, but then where did it come from? Does Easter follow the Pagan sun god worshiping practices and if so, how did it get into the church Mr. Priest or Mrs. Pastor? Huh?
Now we will need to expand our skill set and add the ability to use Google and type a few short words. Once you are in the search field, just type these letters with the proper spacing…”how to calculate when easter sunday is” Don’t worry about capitalization or grammar, just look through the results.
Reading the results and we find that Easter Sunday is ALWAYS the first Sunday after the full moon on or after March 21, the vernal equinox (spring). Advanced users can attempt to search for “when is the vernal equinox” in the Google search for that information.
So it is based upon the full moon and always on the day of the sun god. The Bible bases time upon the new moon and Paganism bases time upon the full moon, you know, werewolves, vampires, evil things happening… So how did it get into the church?
Well, that one is actually easy and can be found using our new assistant, Mr. Google… When the Emperor Constantine changed the religion of Rome to what then was called Christians, he had to play politics about it. How could he get everyone deeply into pagan gods to worship differently… He pressed the Staples button and it said “That was easy.” I’ll just merge everything together and call it a religion. December 25th was always a major Pagan holiday, so we will call it the birthday of Jesus and Full moon worship to the harvest gods for a good planting, we will call it the resurrection Sunday. Weill you can imagine that the pagans were NOT going to add another god to their list (They had too many is it is and no more time for another) so another compromise was made. Let’s just use the Goddess Easter and call it Easter Sunday, then no need to add another.
Of course the translators later working and collecting a paycheck from King James, decided to translate the word Pesach from the Hebrew into the Goddess Easter and BINGO, it is in the bible. However, all the Priest and all the Pastors couldn’t put humpty dumpty back together, so they decided not to teach you how to find it for yourself to be the feast of Passover and not Easter.
Hint, you can look it up yourself at www.blueletterbible.org and see the word right from the original text.
So now the answer: Easter is an EVIL PAGAN celebration to a PAGAN goddess names Easter. for more information, check this out.
Are we commanded to keep the Easter Festival in the Bible?
Well we probably could guess this answer as NO without too much more said since we snuck over to the bible website and saw the word translated as “Easter” was truly Pascha (Greek), Pesach (Hebrew) or Passover.(English). So it is very obvious that it could not be commanded, but I hear the Priest and Pastor saying…”But that is not what it means to us in our denomination (division) of Christianity.” Hmm, I don’t worship you Mr. Priest/Pastor, I worship in truth.
What we are commanded is to NOT worship these other gods and then say that we are worshiping the creator of Heaven and Earth. So if we think that, even though Easter is a Pagan Festival for a Pagan Goddess, but it is not what we are doing, then we are wrong. In the end the only opinion that matters is what the Father in Heaven has and he has plainly stated how he wants to be worshiped, in spirit and in TRUTH. Easter is NOT Truth.
