See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. (1Jo 3:2-8 NAU)

This is the Love of God

By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and observe His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. (1Jo 5:1-3 NAU)

For this is the Love of God That We Keep His Commandments. 1John 5:2

When the church leaders tried to stump Jesus (Yeshua) by asking him which is the greatest of the commands, his response was to quote scripture. His answer was: The foremost is, ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL! Last week we explored whether your worship is in vain. Continuing we look into neglecting the commandment of God you hold to the tradition of men. Traditions themselves are not bad, although the origins of most are pagan. However, when you set aside the commands of God in favor of your traditions you move into lawlessness, which is sin.

Here are the first series of questions we will look into:

How do we know that Friday and Saturday are the days that God made to be the Sabbath?
Is there something dating back to when the world was created?
How is it that Friday and Saturday became the holy days in the Bible?

In continuing the series, we will look at the second question.

Another good question! Wanting to tie the day back to the original Sabbath is either an escape excuse or wanting to keep the same day holy. Taking a look at a brief history in the Bible will help to bring some clarity to the current situation.

When Was Jesus Conceived?

When was Jesus conceived? Like so many others I wanted to know the truth surrounding the birth of our Messiah. When did the angel Gabriel appear to Mary? Was it on a special day or just an ordinary day? Are there any clues from Scripture?

With the answers to these questions we could construct a time line that would shed light on THE Light of the World’s appearance on earth. So in looking for answers we can jump into the shoes of Luke who, according to scripture, conducted a thorough investigation and reported to his esteemed disciple, Theophilus.
