Oh the Plans I Have For You Saith YHVH

Looking at Jeremiah 29:11

Time and circumstance seem to merge together to create a stress level that captures our minds and leads us down rabbit trails of thought into places that bring a sense of over-whelming doom as we race through the possibilities.  Money issues, family problems and even world events can bring the stress level to a boiling point.  Then we allow our natural man to start problem-solving without the input from Yehovah.

For I know the plans I have for you

Jeremiah 29:11

During the times of “rabbit trail thinking” we can imagine all kinds of horrible things happening to us and then, in this fantasy time, we come up with strange solutions to problems that only exist in our minds.  Conversations taking place in thought and even fights and arguments without ever speaking a single word out loud.

It is time for the scripture to shed some light on these conversations capturing our thought process.  In Jeremiah chapter 29 we read:

11 ‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares YHVH, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. 12‘Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 ‘And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 ‘And I will be found by you,’ declares YHVH, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ declares YHVH, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’ –  (Jer 29:11-14 NAS)

When our minds start to race and solve problems that do not exist and our thoughts start to tug at our emotions, it is important to remember this passage.  We need to come to an understanding that YHVH has plans for us and those plans are not for destruction but to prosper us.  Not to lead us to calamity but to a good future and a future hope.

This is with a condition and that condition is to call upon Him, to come and pray to Him and then we get the promise… He will listen to you.  He will be found by you when you seek him.  Even if the situation you find yourself in is due to your own disobedience, he will bring you back to relationship with him.

So when that “rabbit” want to you follow his trail, remind him of the plans YHVH has for you and stop the thought process and call upon the One who knows the end from the beginning.  Claim the promise of him listening to you.  If from you own disobedience, repent and be restored.  He promised to be found, but only IF you seek.
